Development
In December 2019, it was announced that Shiv Nirvana would direct the film, and it would be produced under the banner of Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film was formally launched under the temporary title #VD11 in April 2022, with Mythri Movie Makers handling the production. In May 2022, the film was officially titled “Kushi.”
Filming
Principal photography began in April 2022. The first schedule, which took place in Kashmir, concluded in May 2022. The second schedule started in June 2022 and was filmed in Hyderabad, Vizag, and Alappuzha. However, filming was temporarily halted due to Samantha’s myositis condition. The third schedule commenced in November 2022 with Deverakonda and other cast members shooting on set, and Samantha’s portion was shot separately without her presence. Filming resumed in March 2023 when Samantha returned to the film set after recovering from her illness.
Music
The music for the film is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, with lyrics for all the songs written by Shiv Nirvana. The first single titled “Na Roja Nuvve” was released on May 9, 2023. The second single titled “Aradhya” was released on July 12, 2023. On July 28, 2023, the third track named “Kushi’s Melody” made its debut, followed by the fourth tune, “Euphoric Echoes,” on August 17, 2023.. The fifth single titled “Osi Pelama” was released on August 26, 2023.

Release
“Kushi” was released on September 1, 2023, in Telugu, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. Initially, the film was scheduled for release in December 2022 but was delayed to February 2023 due to production issues. It was then rescheduled for September 1, 2023.
